La Scuderia was built in 1925 as the carriage house for the McCormick Estate, and the name is literal: the building housed the estate's horses, carriages, and hay before it ever housed people. It stands in hand cut stone under a green Belgian tile roof, beneath the oaks of Riven Rock.
