The AD100 designer Ross Cassidy restored and reworked this 1927 Spanish Colonial Revival on lower Sunset Plaza Drive, and Architectural Digest published it in April 2025. The original craft is still the point: leaded windows, wrought-iron railings, carved ceilings and hand-painted beams, now over new systems throughout.

The finishes are specific. Hand-poured terrazzo floors, marble-cased openings and baths clad in slabs of marble. Walls in plaster, limewash, handmade Japanese paper in the TV room and linen in the primary bedroom. Cabinets of Sapele wood in a marine varnish, and lighting that is almost all vintage, brought in from Italy and France.

The main floor holds formal living and dining rooms, a family room, the kitchen, a breakfast room and an en-suite bedroom. Three more en-suite bedrooms are upstairs, including the primary, and a bungalow above the garage adds a fifth with its own bath. There are three wood-burning fireplaces, one of them outdoors.

Behind the house, mature pines close in a pool set in custom stonework, an outdoor bar, and a lit pergola over a seating area with its own fireplace. A two-car garage and room for four more in the drive is hard to find in the Hollywood Hills.
